Scrimshaw Another Deacon |
Champion Sandylands Crystal |
We were so pleased with our first litter from Manda and Mastercraft that we repeated it. These photos will give you
some idea of the quality this breeding produced. Regretfully, the vast majority of these photos were taken at a young
age because, like fine wine, Scrimshaw Labs continue to improve with age and just keep getting better and better. We
were impressed with the soundness of this combination as well. Of the 14 that were checked by OFA 8 were rated
Excellent, 6 good. All possessed wonderful temperament, intelligence and working ability |
Champion Scrimshaw Blue Nun, "Bonni" earned 2 majors from the Puppy class owner/handled. She finished with a Group One from the classes under the age of 2. She was the #1 Lab Bitch in the U.S. in '79. Like her father, 6 foot fences meant nothing to her and she could often be found surveying the area from the corner of the fence tops like a leopard. She was so full of life and love! We adored her!
Canadian Champion Scrimshaw Tipsy Parson, (U.S. pointed), black male. Parson produced both breed and obedience title holders.
Champion Scrimshaw My Sin, black female. Pooka was the dam of Am/Can. Ch. Coalcreek’s Gimme A Break #1 Lab 1988
Scrimshaw The Devil’s Own UD, black male. Mulligan was also a Best of Breed winner.
Scrimshaw Church Mouse, fox red female. Miss Mouse was shown only once. She should have finished easily but her color was ahead of its time in this country. She is the dam of Canadian Champion Scrimshaw Call Mee Ishmael.
Scrimshaw Clearly An Angel UDT, TDX, yellow female. Jenny was dam of Can. Ch. Scrimshaw Manda Lifeboats and one of the first Labs to earn a TDX.
Scrimshaw Holystone, black male. Merlin was a hunting companion par excellence. He once got his daily “bag” without a shot being fired. He hunted out and retrieved the bag in cripples and dead finds, including a wood duck in the crotch of a tree. He also worked woodcock at the age of 10 months without any formal training. |
Those without titles are either major pointed, pointed and/or had Specialty wins
